The challenging scenario of technological convergence in broadcasting and broadband and the interoperability on iTV systems will be the main topics of Gustavo Calixto’s lecture, which will be held at the 17th Electric Engineering Week at UNICAMP.
The theme will be approached from the perspective of Global ITV, a bilateral project, which seeks to develop an interoperable platform for interactive TV and hybrid systems, between Brazil and the European Union.
Gustavo graduated withe a Bachelor’s degree in IT engineering at the State University of Campinas (2004) and master degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2008). He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Polytechnic School of USP, Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, and was a visiting researcher at the University of Texas at Austin. At the University of São Paulo, Gustavo also works as a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center for Interactive Technologies (CITI). Gustavo is also a professor at the Senac-SP College for IT courses. He has experience in the area of Information Technology and Telecommunications focused on embedded systems and interactive technologies. Professionally he has appeared in projects to develop innovative solutions, business consulting and research groups in the informatics area. Gustavo was an Adjunct Professor and a Coordinator of Computer Courses at UNINOVE University and Professor at the Impacta College. Since 2005, performs volunteer activities with the IEEE.
